Grade checker

Enter what you scored and see what grade it was worth, using the thresholds Cambridge published for that sitting.

Why the boundaries move

Cambridge sets grade thresholds after each sitting has been marked, not before. If a paper turns out harder than intended the boundaries come down, and if it was easier they go up. That is what keeps an A in one year worth the same as an A in another.

So last year's boundaries tell you what your mark would have been worth then. They are a reasonable guide to what to aim for, and never a promise about the sitting you are about to take.

Short of the grade you wanted?

Pick the subject and ask where the marks went. Answers come from the mark schemes and examiner reports, and you can have a written answer marked against the published descriptors.
